What is Mid Facelift Aesthetics?

Mid facelift aesthetics (Mid Facelift) is a surgical intervention performed to correct sagging in the midface area and improve the aesthetic appearance by targeting the area between the lower and upper parts of the face. Signs of aging on the face are manifested by sagging, deep wrinkles and volume loss, especially in areas such as the cheeks, under the eyes and around the mouth. Home Recovery Process

The recovery process at home after surgery is very important for a successful outcome. This process should be managed as follows:

  • Rest: Care should be taken to rest for the first few days. Heavy activities should be avoided and the head should be kept elevated while sleeping.
  • Wound Care: In order for the scars to heal properly, the area should be kept clean and the care products recommended by the doctor should be used. In addition, the doctor's instructions should be followed for the healing of the stitches.
  • Pain Management: Pain and swelling can be controlled with painkillers and cold compresses. During the healing process, the medications recommended by the doctor should be used regularly.
  • Control Appointments: In order for the healing process to proceed smoothly, the control appointments recommended by the doctor should be attended regularly.
  • Physical Activity: During the first few weeks, heavy exercises and activities that will put pressure on the facial area should be avoided. Care should be taken until the swelling and bruising on the face have subsided.

Mid facelift surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately 2 to 4 hours. For most patients, the procedure is planned as a same-day discharge. However, in certain cases—especially when combined with other aesthetic procedures or depending on the patient’s overall health—a 1-night hospital stay may be recommended.
