Liposuction Why?

Liposuction, or fat removal as it is commonly known, is a surgical procedure to remove excess fat tissue that accumulates in certain areas of the body and cannot be eliminated with diet or exercise. Liposuction is a surgery performed for aesthetic purposes and is usually applied to the abdomen, hips, legs, arms and neck areas.

How is Liposuction Performed? Liposuction is usually performed under local or general anesthesia. During the procedure, small incisions are made and the fat tissue is vacuumed with the help of a thin tube (cannula). After the procedure, patients can usually return to their normal activities within a few days, but the full recovery process may take several weeks.

Who is Liposuction Suitable For? Liposuction is not a weight loss method for people with excessive weight problems. It is a method preferred by healthy individuals to get rid of fat accumulated in certain areas of their bodies. The best results are achieved in individuals who are close to their ideal weight.
