Breast lift aesthetics is a surgical procedure performed to restore sagging breasts to an upright, youthful and aesthetic appearance. Mastopexy, as it is medically known, is performed to tighten breasts that have sagged due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, aging, weight loss or gravity.
Before breast lift surgery, the patient's general health status is evaluated. The most appropriate surgical method is planned by considering the breast structure, degree of sagging and skin elasticity. If the breast tissue is not sufficient, a breast prosthesis (silicone) can be used together with the lift procedure. Smoking should be stopped and blood thinners should be stopped in the preoperative period.
Breast lift surgery is performed under general anesthesia and takes an average of 2-3 hours. The surgeon removes excess skin and sagging tissue and moves the nipple higher. Breast volume is preserved during the procedure, but in some cases it can be supported with silicone.
After surgery, you usually stay in the hospital for 1 night. Pain is under control and the new form of the breasts is preserved with the use of a special bra. If a drain is used, it is removed within 1-2 days.
